The Mad Platter - Mobile Disc Jockey

Since 1983, Dave Cuneo, The Mad Platter, has been a premier mobile disc jockey performing throughout the Southern California area and beyond. Dave has that rare talent of being equally familiar and comfortable with all periods and styles of music. Simply look at a typical calendar of Dave's events during the year. Included are wedding day packages, corporate events for all age groups, birthday parties, graduation parties, class reunions, religious celebrations, wedding anniversaries, elementary, intermediate, and/or high school dances, themed parties ranging from the 50's "sock hop" era up to the present time. In addition, he has recently been one of the "house" DJs spinning Hip-Hop and other current dance music several nights a week at a popular spot in Dana Point.

As you can see from the events of the past year, Dave's standard music library covers all of the different chart and radio hits from the most current music back through the Big Band Era as well as specialty and ethnic selections. He offers you complete choices from his library of more than 150,000 songs and will eagerly add any of your special requests as available. In addition, his library includes both explicit and "edited" (clean) versions of the music you want to hear when lyrics are a sensitive issue.

Dave’s primary sound system features state of the art equipment and is unmatched in the industry. His custom made speakers produce a pure, natural, and full sound that truly separates him from his competition. In addition, he always provides the most appropriate sound equipment package needed for the size of the venue and the number of guests in attendance to insure adequate sound coverage at the appropriate volume levels. In other words, your guests at tables will get to hear all announcements, background, and dance music while still being able to talk to each other, and the dance floor area can get a higher volume level and more of a traditional “thump” as needed once the dancing starts.

Dave's greatest attribute is his ability to read a crowd, to create a contagious level of enthusiasm, and to ensure that everyone has a great time. He is the master of playing the right song at just the right time while including any special requests. He has continuously performed with tremendous success regardless of the age group

Dave has an excellent baritone voice for announcements and is comfortable with any Master of Ceremony responsibilities. He combines an impressive level of professionalism with a spontaneous sense of humor. He is always formally attired in a tuxedo, or he will dress appropriately and professionally for a more casual or "theme" party as requested.

With over 25 years of experience including well over 1000 wedding days and hundreds of other private celebrations, school dances, and corporate events, he is more than capable of assisting you with the complete planning process.
